Spirare System Modules
Spirare is based on a modular design. It is possible based on your requirements to select from a range of additional features and functions for your Spirare installation. The most important modules are as follows:
Spirometry Basic Module
Standard spirometry tests using the Spirare SPS310 ultrasonic spirometer. Trend graphs and reversibility testing (Post BD) are included in standard versions.
Optional Spirometry Modules
Airway Responsiveness, Exercise ChallengeDifferent exercise challenge protocolas can be defined. The module also include support for the Aiolos dry air regulator.
Airway Responsiveness, Pharmacological Agent ChallengeMultiple protocols for challenge testing are supported, including the use of metacholine, acetylcholine and
mannitol (Aridol™).
Mannitol
Additional Spirometer SupportIn addition to the Spirare SPS310 sensor, the software may be used with the ndd EasyOne and some Micro Medical spirometers.
ECG Basic Module
ECG rest recording and analysis using the Spirare SPE100 ECG recorder. The standard version includes automatic interpretation, compare features like zooming and superimposing of QRS complexes.
Optional ECG Modules
ECG Rest Expanded
This module add enhanced options for is specifically developed for ECG Rhythm recording of longer duration. These modules allow ECG rest recording of longer duration for facilitating rhythm analyses.
ECG CompareThis module allows the user to compare and super-impose complexes from different ECG recordings.
ECG Advisory InterpretationThe interpretation suggested by the module can easily be overruled or modified by the user.
Noise FilterDifferent software controlled filters can interactively be turned on and off during ECG recording. The filters reduce noise that interferes with the ECG recording.
Pacemaker DetectionThe Pacemaker Detection module enhances the pacemaker signal in the displayed ECG graph, making it easier to evaluate the function of a pacemaker.
Broken Lead DetectionThis module enables a panel in the recorder window with visual indication of connection status. Green signal indicates that the connection works properly and red signal indicates that the lead is disconnected or broken.
Anonymous ECG Recording
This module allows emergency ECG recording of anonymous patients. The proper patient data may be registered later.
Emergency ECGThis module is developed for emergency ECG in mobile units such as ambulances, ships, and offshore units. ECG recordings and patient information can be sent as email attachments to a cooperating hospital or medical unit for evaluation. Please refer to the
Spirare emergency brochure [pdf] for further details.
Multiple ReportsThe user can choose between different report layouts for printed reports. The layouts differ with respect to the presentation of ECG channels as well as various additional information included in the report.
Export Documents
Load/display ECG reports from external sources. This module adds external ECG investigations to the Spirare database allowing ECG data from different sources to be stored and viewed by Spirare.
Ambulant Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)
ABPM is a professional and user friendly system for 24-48 hour blood pressure monitoring, and is a new member of the Spirare product family
Spirare ABPM 24-hour blood pressure monitor gives an excellent foundation for evaluating the patient’s blood pressure and potential effect of medical treatment. The recorded data is transferred to a computer, either via a PC cable or wireless via Bluetooth.
The included software, Spirare HM (Hypertension Management), shows patient history and eventual effect of blood pressure treatment. Spirare HM has several options for graphic visualization and analysis of the measured patient data. Different reports for evaluation or presentation for the patient may easily be printed.
Other Modules
We also offer some different modules with more advances features. The more important of these modules are as follows:
Client/Server DatabaseAdvanced client/server database functionality for LAN, WAN and Terminal Server solutions. Please refer to the
Spirare network brochure [pdf] for further details.
Portable UnitFor offline ambulatory Spirometry or ECG use on a portable PC, also when there is no network connection. Test results and data recorded in offline mode is stored locally on the computer, and synchronization with the Spirare network database is done manually. Please refer to the
Spirare portable brochure [pdf] for further details.
Portable Unit Autoconnect
This is an extension to the Portable Unit Module. Data recorded and stored offline on the portable PC is automatically synchronized with the central database, when the network becomes available. This is particularly useful in hospitals using a wireless network, with varying reach ability.
Patient Referral SystemPatient data is encrypted and transferred to another Spirare user.
Statistical AnalysisStatistical analysis of patient data based on advanced selection criteria.
Export Data
This modules adds export functions to Spirare that allows you to export data for future statistics analysis, etc.
